FALLOW DEER HUNTING
HOW DID FALLOW DEER GET HERE?
Fallow Deer originated in the Eastern Mediterranean, but were brought to Europe about 1200 years ago. Hunted by Kings and Rulers the world over for a thousand years, they were brought to America about 75 years ago. Here at Spartan Hunting Lodge we have some of the finest bloodlines of European and Hungarian Fallow Deer to be found on this continent, or in the World.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FALLOW DEER
Fallow Deer come in 3 colors. White, Chocolate, and Spotted. We have them all.
Fallow are like any other deer in that they reach full maturity between the ages of 4 to 6 years old. Much like we do with our Boar and Ram hunts here, it is the good mature Bucks we are after.
Also the $4500 price on a Buck is for any Buck.
If you take the best Buck on the place he is still one price. No room for confusion.
Bucks lose their antlers around the first of April, and they are back completely hard horned by September 1st.
If you would like to take a buck in velvet you would want to book a hunt for mid August. We also allow the hunt of Fallow Doe between the times of September 1st thru January 1st.
We don’t want them taken with a belly full of baby, nor while they are nursing.
We also do not allow archery hunting for Fallow Doe. They do not come to corn well, so that leaves us with a ’spot and stalk’. They are spooky, much like our Russian Boar here. So spot and stalk with archery is unsuccessful.
We do not go after them with a handgun either. Rifle hunting only for Fallow Doe.
Also note that the meat on a Fallow Deer is the finest venison you will ever eat. Fallow Deer rank every year in the Top Five best tasting Big Game Meats in the entire world.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW
Spartan Hunting Lodge is an all-inclusive hunting lodge. If we don't provide it, you can probably still get it.
- No license required. Hunting is year round. Your kill is guaranteed. The style of hunt is up to you. Stand hunt or stalk – we hunt according to your request.
- NO HIDDEN FEES all prices are as stated.
- NO KILL NO PAY that means pay Nothing.
- Skinning and Quartering of meat is FREE.
- No guide fees.
- Recommended 2 or 3 day hunt.
- Taxidermy Available.
- Full Processing and Packaging of Meat Available with SAME DAY SERVICE.
- We also offer Hydrographics (Hydro Dipped Skulls).
ACCOMODATIONS
Our lodge consists of 7200 square feet of living space. This consist of 3 large gathering areas. One for dining, and two for simply relaxing between adventures. Here we have DirecTV with every channel they offer, sports and otherwise. We do have WiFi, but do not brag about that fact too loudly as we are way out in the country and it is spotty. We also have a community type refrigerator in the dinning area for those who need it. Cokes, Sprites, and Dr. Peppers are always available in the dining area. If you require something other than that, feel free to bring it with you.
Out of these large gathering rooms are doors to our 13 bedrooms. Some of our bedrooms have 4 beds, some 6 beds, and our largest rooms have 8 beds per room. Many of the larger rooms have their own refrigerators. Six of our Bedrooms have 8 beds in each room, for larger groups. These rooms have their own refrigerator and bathroom in each room. The most important thing to know about the bedrooms is that each group will have their own private room. There will be no one inside your bedroom that is not a member of your party. So if you have a snorer in your room …… you brought him with you.
